China and Australia are located in two hemispheres, north and south, with different resource endowments, strong economic complementarity, and enormous potential for cooperation. In the past six years, Australia has been one of the main participating countries in the CIIE. Since the first CIIE, more than 300 Australian companies and institutions have participated, covering a wide range of product categories including food and beverage, agricultural products, consumer goods, medical devices and healthcare, service trade, technology and lifestyle, as well as equipment and technology. Many Australian products and services have opened up the Chinese market through the CIIE, gaining widespread recognition among Chinese consumers.
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) has organized and supported Australian institutions and businesses to participate in the CIIE for six consecutive years since its inception. This year, the Australian Trade Commission will work together with Australian state governments to set up a 1,000 square meter Australian booth (booth number: Hall 2.2 B5-01) at the Food and Agriculture Pavilion of the 2024 CIIE. More than 100 Australian companies will participate to showcase their unique Australian packaged food, beverages, dairy products, meat and seafood, health products, and agricultural products to professional audiences.
