Top "durian" fruits gather!
Malaysia races 'Musang King ' to cater to Chinese consumers
Malaysia's fresh durian, with its unique sweetness and softness, has become the "star" of the exhibition area. In June of this year, China and Malaysia signed a protocol on plant quarantine requirements for fresh durian imported from Malaysia to China. Now, Chinese consumers can not only enjoy frozen durian, but also fresh Malaysian durian.
At this year's CIIE, durian became one of the highly anticipated popular foods. The reporter witnessed the explosive sales of durian on site, and various durian "tasting packages" were "tasted out" by enthusiastic consumers before 4 pm, which shows its popularity.
Exhibitors have expressed that the CIIE provides them with an excellent opportunity to enter the Chinese market, allowing them to have face-to-face communication with Chinese consumers and understand the needs and trends of the Chinese market.
African lamb is here!
The Chinese market will welcome more 'African flavors'
As one of the least developed countries, Madagascar, an African country, participated in the national exhibition of the CIIE for the first time. At the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held in September this year, China decided to give 100% tariff free treatment to all least developed countries that have diplomatic relations with China, including 33 African countries. Riding on this policy, Madagascar exhibitors showcased their specialty products such as vanilla, essential oils, and lamb at the CIIE.
The charming "African flavor" has drifted across the sea to China, and a batch of frozen lamb meat produced in Madagascar has appeared at the CIIE. This is also the first time that China has imported lamb meat products from Africa. According to the person in charge of animal husbandry in China and Malaysia, Madagascar's lamb meat is delicious and has dual advantages in quality and price. It exports 20000 tons of lamb meat to China annually, with a total output value of approximately 150 million US dollars. This has directly employed 60,000 people in Madagascar and brought more high-quality meat choices to domestic consumers.
