The 2024 China International Import Expo opened in Shanghai, with the Australian pavilion reaching a new high, with more than 250 iconic Australian companies participating.
In the food and agricultural products exhibition area of the CIIE, the Australian Brand Pavilion with a scale of over 1,000 square meters is composed of Australian companies, state governments and federal governments, showing the best Australian products to Chinese buyers to meet consumers' demand for high-quality products.
During the CIIE, Australian exhibitors will sign a number of cooperation agreements with a total value of nearly A$30 billion.

On November 4, 2024, under the joint witness of Australian Minister of Trade and Tourism Hon Don Farrell and Australian Ambassador to China HE Scott Dewar, Teys Australia, a well-known Australian beef company, signed a landmark Australia-China cooperation memorandum with Dingdong Maicai and Shanghai Tiancuiting Health Food Co., Ltd. This cooperation will bring A$30 million worth of high-quality Australian imported beef to the Chinese market.
Australian Minister of Trade and Tourism Thomas Tong also recorded a video to wish the CIIE a success and to look forward to China-Australia economic and trade cooperation. Minister Thomas Tong attended the exchange luncheon of the Australian delegation at the CIIE. He praised the important role of the CIIE in promoting global business and mentioned the latest progress in China-Australia trade relations. Last year, Australia's trade with China reached a record high of A$327 billion. Thomas Tong encouraged Australian companies to seize international opportunities, especially those in the Chinese market.

The Australian Brand Pavilion is an important part of Australia's participation in the CIIE. More than 170 companies account for nearly 70% of all exhibitors, covering top food and beverage products in Australia's advantageous industries, including meat, seafood, wine, dairy products, health products, agricultural products and consumer products from New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
On the morning of the 6th, witnessed by Australian Ambassador to China HE Scott Dewar and Australian Embassy Commercial Counselor in China Dominic Trindade, Balco Australia and Modern Dairy Group Co., Ltd., Degree Trading and Shaanxi Foreign Trade Industry Co., Ltd., STEHR and Shanghai Xinjiangyang Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., Nature One Dairy and Mannings Wanning, Nature One Dairy and Jiangxi Haijigou Import and Export Co., Ltd., Bulla Dairy Foods and Beijing Big Pizza Restaurant Management Co., Ltd., INJOI Investment and Sichuan Panda World Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. signed contracts respectively.
During the Australian Trade Minister's visit to Shanghai and the 2024 China International Import Expo, Australian companies and Chinese partners signed a total of 25 memorandums of understanding with a total value of nearly A$300 million.

For the audience who failed to attend the CIIE in person, the Australian Brand Pavilion took the audience to visit the Australian Brand Pavilion of the CIIE for the first time through a 5-day social media live broadcast, presenting many activities in the pavilion, and tasting Australia's high-quality delicacies.
The CIIE Australia Online Showcase and Business Matchmaking Platform will enable Australian exhibitors to reach China’s inland metropolises beyond its coastal regions. Through these events, Australian products will appear on the tables of consumers beyond Shanghai, in cities such as Chengdu, Shenzhen and beyond.
