You must have heard of Australian lobster! Australia has vast ocean, with over 10,000 beaches and over 60,000 kilometers of coastline, and nearly 30,00 known fish species in its waters. It has nurtured numerous rich seafood products, such as rock lobster and salmon, which are highly favored by Chinese consumers.
China has always been an important export market for Australian seafood, and the tariffs on Chinese imports of Australian seafood were all reduced to zero as early as 2019. In 2023, Australia exported seafood worth AUD 406 million to China.
